Time Control: Game 40/d5 (Under 1250) Game 55/d5 (1250 & Above)
(The cutoff point may vary above or below 1250 in order to create sections)
Round Times (G/40): Rnd1: 9:00 Rnd2: 10:45 Rnd3:12:30 Rnd4: 2:15 Rnd5: 4:00
Round Times (G/60): Rnd1: 9:00 Rnd2: 11:10 Rnd3: 1:20 Rnd4: 3:30
Sections: Players are assigned to tightly grouped sections according to their current
USCF rating. This allows players to experience tournament play with fair, yet challenging
games against evenly matched opponents.
Individual Awards: 1st—3rd place awarded in each section. Any player not receiving a
trophy and scoring at least 3 points will receive a medal.
Team Awards: 1st—5th place awarded. To constitute a team students must attend the
same school. Teams must consist of at least 3 players with the top 4 scores counting for team
total.
 All players must be current USCF members.
 You may purchase or renew memberships at the tournament.
 Payment is required at the time of registration.
 Cutoff for on–line registration is 8:00 pm Friday before the tournament.
 Players registering the day of tournament will receive a 1/2 point bye for round one.
